So, we’re back home. C-c-c-cold, jet lagged and missing Australia already. Time flew by as we went to Adelaide, Melbourne, Tasmania, Sydney and Gold Coast. Every country seems to have the Amsterdam-Rotterdam, New York – San Francisco rivalry in it and if you want me to choose I have to say that Sydney topped all my expectations and simply stole my heart.
There were lots of amazing places like restaurant Moon Park, located on an unassuming corner block in Redfern. Korean food, but not as you know it. With the small bites and dishes to share they take traditional Korean food and elevate it with amazing results like the ssambab. This yangnum smoked eel with puffed wild rice in a big nasturtium leaf was smoky, crunchy, mouth-watering and making me long for more.
I just read a Times article in which it’s being voted one of the best new restaurants in the world to visit this year so we made a good start of the new year. Make sure you’re hungry when you get there cause you’ll want to try everything!
